Java**, Java Script, and VB (Visual Basic) Script are not supported.
Security capabilities such as SSL and SSL2 are not supported.
Only GIF and JPEG are supported as in-line image formats; Progressive JPEG is not supported.
The only protocol supported is "http:"; "ftp:", "news:", and "gopher:",
for example, are not supported.
No printing function is supported.
The maximum table size is 100 columns by 1000 rows; some tables smaller
than this may also not be displayed, depending on the available amount
of memory.
The maximum number of frames in a horizontal or vertical direction is 100;
that is to say, the screen can be split into 10000 (= 100 x 100) frames
in theory. In practice, the available amount of memory will reduce the
number.
Some other application programs, such as 3270 emulators, cannot coexist
with this product.
The TCP/IP program that comes with the WebBoy product package must be used; other TCP/IP programs may not be compatible with WebBoy.
WebBoy does not run in the DOS environment under OS/2*, Windows** 3.1, Windows 95**, or Windows NT**.
If a page is not displayed completely or some such symptoms appear, the
cause is probably lack of memory space available for WebBoy. To increase
the available memory space, try removing unnecessary drivers and programs
specified in the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files.
The SVGA (VESA) driver for WebBoy tries to use up to 768 KB of memory space
to increase the display speed. If sufficient memory is not available, the
speed of scrolling and other display features may be degraded.
FRAME tag
The SCROLLING and NORESIZE attributes are not supported.
SCROLLING=AUTO is always assumed.
SCRIPT
The contents between <SCRIPT> and </SCRIPT> are ignored.
ANIMATE
The contents between <ANIMATE> and </ANIMATE> are ignored.
Mailer
Files cannot be attached to a message.
File attachment, encoding, and decoding based on MIME are not supported.
Message encoded in "quoted-printable" is not supported.
The mail folder can keep up to 100 messages. WebBoy cannot receive mail
from a POP3 server beyond the limit; to receive additional mail, you must first
archive or delete the messages in the folder.
The maximum size of a message that can be sent is approximately 50 KB.
In replying and forwarding, approximately 30 KB of the original (received)
mail can be quoted.
Dialer
Login script is not supported.
Only PPP connection is supported.
The dialer that comes with WebBoy must be used; other dialers are not supported.
Repeated connection and disconnection may make the dialer unstable.
LAN
To use WebBoy's TCP/IP program for LAN connection, an NDIS (Note 1) driver for the LAN card to be used must be installed; an ODI (Note 2) driver cannot be used.
Note 1: NDIS: Network Device Interface Specification
The device driver interface for network adapters defined by 3Com**
and Microsoft**.
Note 2: ODI: Open Data-link Interface
A device driver interface for network adapters for NetWare**.
